It was another one of those lovely tracking weeks at KZUM. Not that big of a deal, after having done it for so long. Still a bit of a headache as we have to get start and finish times, record labels and the like. Oh, well. Makes it a bit more of a challenge and quite educational.
Phil cut’n’pasted the Artist, Track, and CD Title frames from the spread sheet he used, so things look a little different. We hope that you can still figure everything out okay. The format is the same as usual, just not numbered.
Murf, *K8 and Phil bring you two hours of new age and Pagan music every Sunday morning on KZUM in Lincoln, NE from 9am to 11am.
This week seemed to be a little strange with the studio equipment. Players not firing, CDs stopping after only 20 seconds of play. Mercury has gone direct, so it wasn’t an astrological incident. No, we discovered the reason when Murf told us what she had lined up on her master disc for the second hour. Scroll down through the play list and surely you will see what was up, too.
The Music
Inkubus Sukkubus – Wytches’ Chant ’98 – Away with the Faeries
Thankfully, Murf always seems to have Dale Bacon’s response to Kenny Klein ready to go, but sometimes Dale’s spirit does like to show his displeasure over the song.
If you were listening or have seen the playlist on our Facebook page, you will note that some corrections to the playlist have been made. There was at least one case of mistaken identity and some typos in the Facebook posting. If you find any errors in this posting, please let us know so we can correct them.
Sunday 7 July 2013, the sixth edition of the rebooted Musica Pagani on the Pagan-Musings Podcast Channel. An extra long edition of the show this time around. RevKess had to do tracking for Murphy’s Magic Mess on KZUM, which means longer tracks to make it easier to track. So, still in the mood for long pieces of music, that is where he began for MP.
Introducing some new artists to PMPC and new music from some other artists, is what happens the beginning of every month. July being no exception. Fiona Joy Hawkins has a new release called 600 Years in a Moment and Craig Urquhart sent out his latest, First Light, for sharing on the show. Blackmore’s Night also has a new CD out this summer called Dancer and the Moon. New artists to the collection include Meg Bowles, Sensitive Chaos and Mama Gina. Rounding out the show are some old favorites, Tuatha Dea, Frenchy and the Punk and some lighter music from Michael Brant DeMaria.
As it is a new month, RevKess has picked a new opening and closing piece. Opening the show for the month of July will be Jenna Greene’s “Rise Up Singin'” from her Crossroads CD. Finishing off the show will be “The Blessing” from Tuatha Dea’s The Tribe. (Read RevKess’s review of The Tribe over at RevKess Reviews.)
Michael Brant DeMaria – Mysterious Stranger – The Maiden of Stonehenge
